Drag and drop to add or replace attached files in Next®
Documents in Next® often have one or more attachments. Contract with appendices, Sales invoice with terms & conditions, Price lists with the Excel™ used to make it - to name a few.
Throughout the year, we have streamlined the way you work with attached files and now we take the final step, and make it possible to attach and replace files with simple drag and drop.
In the document view
If you drag a file from your computer to the action bar, Next® will see this as a request to attach a new file or replace one of the existing ones.
Depending on what drop zone you choose, your file will either be added, or replace one of the existing files
Once you let go - or drop your document, the usual dialog comes up - either to add or to replace the file.
Just tell why and click Replace
Being able to manipulate attached files easily, is important for those who use Next® to perform their everyday tasks, and helps them save valuable time.
Future enhancements
We have no enhancements planned.
For the techies
Be aware that dropping the document to the PDF viewer will not work. You will have to hit parts of the Next® user interface for Next® to get the control.
