Minor enhancements for the people using Next®, August 2021
We are happy to flag every new and enhanced feature in Next® with its own release note. Still, some of the enhancements are relevant to only a select few, and those we collect in this list for documentation.
For this release we have collected the following minor enhancements targeted the admins and end user:
|Easier to find your own (and others) documents||NEXT-4036|
|The search filter in All document view now contains a Created by field, that allows you to limit the list to the documents you (or somebody else) have created.|
|New ability to omit specific values in searches||NEXT-4026|
You can now omit selected values form your searches.
Related documents view enhanced
Whenever you have Related documents in Next® - multiple emails related to a contract, or Shipping Bills related to a Sales Invoice - the panel showing these documents is now enhanced with paging. This way, a large number of related documents, will no longer require you to navigate using a scroll bar.
|Control access to invoices based on accounting data||NEXT-3977|
|With Dynamic Permission Control you may now limit access to selected invoices depending on how they are booked. Maybe no none outside Finance and HR should have access to anything booked as Staff costs. Or only the management of division East, is to have access to invoices coded to that division.||NEXT-4059|
|Onward invoicing on item level||NEXT-4047|
Next® Invoices now allows for an optional Invoice date on postings made towards selected account numbers. This allow facility managers to easily re-invoice costs to their customers.
|Next® Invoices enforces maximum posting text length||NEXT-4038|
|When coding invoices in Next® Invoices, you can now set a maximum allowed posting text, and have the user interface enforce this. For ASPECT4, you should set this limit at 60 characters.|
|Create text PDFs from image PDFs when replacing a document||NEXT-4051|
|Whenever you replace a PDF using Attach a file, Next® will automatically create a text version suitable for full text search if the PDF you provide is only an image PDF.|
|Document version no longer visible||NEXT-4029|
|To eliminate the risk of confusion, the field Document version (always 1) is removed from the UI, and only Document revision remains.|
