Automatic PDF from XML files

New feature that makes it easier to handle XML documents in Next®.

Just like EDIFACT documents, an XML document is great for computer-to-computer communication, but not very easy to work with for humans.

This new features lets Next® automatically generate a PDF version of any XML document you archive. And add is as an attachment before the original XML document.

An automatically generated PDF may not be beautiful, but way more useful than the raw XML.

Automatic archiving of Finvoices

The fist standard application of this new feature is an automatic archiving of Finvoices - the official e-invoicing format used in Finland.

For the techies

The PDF generator is added to the DAFF processing chain, and configured with:

  • Item types to be processed.
  • XSL to be used for the transformation to PDF.

Please refer to the online documentation for additional details.

Commercial terms and conditions

This feature is available at no additional cost, to users with an active service plan. Any consultancy assistance will be invoiced.
