New Notification center
When you use Next® for everyday work, several events may call for your attention:
- 5 invoices are overdue and waiting for your approval.
- A colleague is waiting for your reply to a question.
- A contract requires your immediate review.
- An export of invoice data to Excel has completed.
- A Reclaim unused storage has failed.
We it call notifications, and you see them in your Notification center. Click your profile, and select Notifications to view the details.
Your Notification center is part of your profile. The little green dot indicates that you have new and unseen notifications.
The Notification center tells you how many unseen notifications you have.
Two unseen notifications
When one of your background tasks completes, it's also in the Notification center you can find the result. For example the Excel file from the Export to Excel, Expiring documents.

Set your own preferences
In the Notification Center, you may set your own personal preferences.
The importance of notifications varies from person to person.
The business log
When you change your Notification center settings, it is logged in the business log.
In this release, notifications from completed background jobs, and Ask a colleague are supported. In the coming releases we will add more.
In a future release, you will be able to tailor the delivery of even further. If you only receive an invoice or two a day, you may want an email notification for each invoice. If you get 200 each day, you probably don't. If the questions you get from colleagues are urgent, you may ask to be notified by text message, otherwise an email suffices.
The will also become available in Next® Approve.
For the techies
In order to send email and SMS notifications, Next® needs access to the relevant gateways.
