Easy setup of Next® top banner image

At the very top of your Next® application, you see what we call the top banner image.

Many run their Next® with the default image provided with the product. This makes little or no sense at all.  Please accept our apologies for not customizing this to you. Our mistake. If you tailor the top bar image to reflect YOUR company, then the top banner image makes perfect sense, and creates valuable identification.

Especially if you have multiple companies in each their own archive, you can use the Top banner image to make it easier to distinguish between the different business units.

Also, if you run a Test, a Training, or a Quality Assurance environment, make sure they all have their own top banner image.

Please refer to the online documentation.

Previously the management of top banner images was a rather technical task, but now you can easily do it yourself.

Choose any of the provided samples, or even better - have a specific one designed for you.

For the specialists

The top bar image should be in PNG format, and have a height of 120 pixels. The width of the top bar image should match the width of the screen, otherwise the image will be cut or repeated.

We suggest that you leave the actual graphical work to a skilled graphical designer. For sure don't let any of our consultants do it for you.

As screens a becoming wider, and resolution is increasing, we suggest to use the max width specified. You can easily let the image fade into a suitable background color, as it is hard to find a motive that has details all the way to the right.

Future enhancements

In the February 2020 release, we add the capability to see a preview of the top bar images you have in Next®.
