Bugs and other creeps, annoying the people using Next®, January 2022
It is part of our promise to be #EASY. Having bugs and other annoying behavior in your software is not being #EASY. For that we put a lot of efforts in to avoiding bugs in the first place, and to get rid of them fast, when we make one.
For this release we have exterminated the following bugs and annoying behaviors, affecting end users.

---|---|---|
When you select to view the original version of an Email in Next®, Next® now respects this also for attachments with a PDF version on record. |
NEXT-4274 | |
The action Make PDF version, is now only available on documents with content that can actually be made into a PDF version. Hiding irrelevant options makes the product more easy to use. |
NEXT-4300 | |
Preview of large Excel sheets is now limited to 10 sheets, 100 columns, and 1000 rows instead of crashing. | NEXT-4322 | |
Images attached to emails are now scaled correctly. |
NEXT-4295 | |
Power indexing keeps suggestions, validations, and list on subsequent tasks after a Save and next. Without this, Power indexing is useless. |
NEXT-4369 | |
When you use 'Add Document' from your own task list, an error is produced, and you cannot add another document. Without this ability your documents will pile up outside your enterprise archive. |
NEXT-4412 | |
Integration with an external SOAP based webservice can fail. Without integration between systems, every system becomes an island. |
NEXT-4410 | |
When a large PDF file is processed, the full text data cannot be extracted through the Transformation Engine. Without full-text, finding the relevant information is not possible. This has been identified for PDF with a size above 40Mb. | NEXT-4415 | |
Next® Transformation engine now ensures that full text for emails is returned with knowledge about the email body and email attachments separately, so Next Mailroom can do classifications based on either email body or email attachment. | NEXT-4420 |
