Minor enhancements for the people using Next®, January 22

We are happy to flag every new and enhanced feature in Next® with its own release note. Still, some of the enhancements are relevant to only a select few, and those we collect in this list for documentation.

For this release we have collected the following minor enhancements targeted the admins and end user:

Enhancement Issue
Card views everywhere - and more beautiful  NEXT-4320

We believe that the Card views is to be the new standard view in Next®, and hence we put efforts into making them better, smarter, and more beautiful. In your Search forms you will now always find a default card view. Click Settings to try it out. At the same time we have added a slight drop shadow to the document thumbnail. Especially for letters, invoices, and other traditional A4 format documents, this makes them stand out more.

Resume information in flyover for paused tasks

To make it even easier to work with tasks on pause, the flyover text you see at the Paused icon in a task list, now reveals if and when the task will automatically be resumed. For example:  "Resumes automatically in 3 days".

Change posting date in  Next® Invoices now reflected also in Dynamics NAV NEXT-4278
As with other ERP systems integrated to Next® Invoices, now also Microsoft Dynamics NAV reflects a changed posting date.

Enhanced flexibility when processing POs in NAV and Next® Invoices NEXT-4383
In Dynamics NAV 2017 you are now able to process POs related to services that do not require goods received. And to process POs that are pending because you receive multiple invoices to cover a single PO.

New assignment service for Next® Invoices NEXT-4250
A new assignment service lets you define approves based on specific dimension values in your Chart of accounts. Typically this is used to automatically assign invoices to the person responsible for a cost center, profit center, or a project.

Process for project related invoices with self-learning assignment  NEXT-4193
A new BPMN process for project related invoices as part of the Next® Invoices for Construction Project Management.
