One-click export to Excel® of Invoices with accounting details
The preferred way of doing reporting from Next® is by using Microsoft Power BI and the standard REST API. But, for a very long time, you have also been able to do an one-click export to Excel, of the data in Next®.
Now, this feature becomes even more valuable, if you are responsible for processing supplier invoices in Next®.
A new dedicated Export Invoices lets you report not only invoice data, but also the allocations or postings associated with each invoice.
Click Export Invoices to Excel below the list to create an Excel file with all the documents in your list (NEW SCREENSHOT)
The export it self is run in the background, and does not tie up your workstation. Once completed, you will get a notification, and a link to the Excel file.
When you click View result, you open up your Excel file in Next®. Ready to work with.
The Excel file contains the selected invoices and all their postings
Especially during month-end reporting, being able to report directly from Next® what has already been allocated, is a major time saver.
The business log
Probably exporting Supplier invoices to Excel does not pose the biggest security issue, but if someone exports all your Sourcing contracts it may be.
When you export documents it is logged in the optional Access log.
