Next® administration enhanced with scope

To make it easier to manage Next® for admins and specialists, we are adding new and helpful features to the user interface.

Scope

The scope defines what any configuration element is relevant for.  We will use this scope to mark the configuration elements that belongs to a specific Next® product. This will make it easier for you to see what Item types belong to Next® Contracts, and what other configuration elements belong to Next® Contracts.

Even more importantly, you can soon add your own scopes. That could be different business systems - ASPECT4, Dynamics, or SAP. And the relevant  departments - Sales, Finance, and Warehouse.

In every list you have, you can easily chose what scopes to include or not.

Configuration scope, status, ownership, and online help - all makes it easier to manage  Next®

All in all, this marks a major improvement for admins and specialists working with Next®. An improvement that will save valuable time, and help avoid mishaps.

Future enhancements

User defined scopes

With the July 22 release you get the built-in scopes used by Nextway to manage our standard configurations. In a soon to come release, you will get the option to make your own custom scopes, to help you organize your setup.

Online help

Finally we will add a small symbol to many of the configuration elements, giving you on screen access to our online help text.

The online text will be enhanced throughout the product going forward.

Additional information

Please refer to the online product guide for additional information on this feature, once it is released.

Commercial terms and conditions

This new feature is available at no additional cost, to users with an active service plan. Any consultancy assistance will be invoiced.
