Minor enhancements for the Next® admins and specialists, June 2020

It is no secret that the primary target of our enhancements are the business users, or end users, of Next®. Still, providing ease of use, and increased productivity to those who admin or configure Next® also make great sense.

For this release we have collected the following minor enhancements targeted the admins and specialists:



Enhancement Issue
Put on hold and Omit gets '... and next' functionality NEXT-3192

Both Put on hold and Omit are highly relevant use in a Fast indexer setup. Put on hold and next, Omit and next, is now possible.   

 


Service user settings preserved during Product upgrades NEXT-3195
If you modify the security settings for the Next® Windows service user these adaptions are now preserved when installing Product updates. 


TLS v1 no longer available  NEXT-3239
As part of our on going security review we have disabled support for TLS v1, as we deem it insecure for production purposes.
