Minor enhancements for the Next® admins and specialists, June 2020
It is no secret that the primary target of our enhancements are the business users, or end users, of Next®. Still, providing ease of use, and increased productivity to those who admin or configure Next® also make great sense.
For this release we have collected the following minor enhancements targeted the admins and specialists:
Enhancement | Issue |
---|---|
Put on hold and Omit gets '... and next' functionality | NEXT-3192 |
Both Put on hold and Omit are highly relevant use in a Fast indexer setup. Put on hold and next, Omit and next, is now possible.
|
|
Service user settings preserved during Product upgrades | NEXT-3195 |
If you modify the security settings for the Next® Windows service user these adaptions are now preserved when installing Product updates. | |
TLS v1 no longer available | NEXT-3239 |
As part of our on going security review we have disabled support for TLS v1, as we deem it insecure for production purposes. | |
For the techies
This is pretty much technical in it's nature.
