One-click HOME in Next®

A small but important new UI feature in Next® lets you 'Go Home' no matter where you are in Next®.

Imagine someone sends you a deep link to a document in Next®. When you are finished processing it, you'd like to continue with other tasks in Next®. Until now that was not an easy operation. Now you simply click the Next® Digital Workplace logo, and voila your Next® looks like you just signed in.

What if you need to look through other documents in Next®, in order to process the one you are currently viewing?

Simply right-click the logo and choose 'Open the link in a new tab'.

Now you have your original document in the first tab, and a completely new Next® in the second.

This may seems like a small new feature, but for power users of Next® it means the world in efficiency and ease of use.

Future enhancements

No enhancements planed.

For the techies

For integrations this functionality is only enabled when the perspective is Restricted or Complete. If you integrate the Next® UI using Embedded perspective, the One-click Home functionality is not enabled.

If you by mistake have implemented Next® without access permissions, this new functionality may allow users to access documents they are not intended to see. Best practice is to define permissions on types and groups, or complement using the optional Dynamic permission control. A Next® with no permissions defined is potentially in violation of the GDPR.

Commercial terms and conditions

This new feature is available at no additional cost, to users with an active service plan. Any consultancy assistance will be invoiced.
