ADLEO Started Combine PDFs.
And whatever changes your background task may perform to documents, will be logged as well.
Future enhancements
In the next release, you will be able to use Combine PDFs from you pinned documents too. Probably the easiest way to collect 20 individual documents to a customer or a partner.
In a future release of Next® you will be able to influence the layout of the PDF Next® creates.
Also in a future release, you will be able to let Combine PDFs include documents that does not yet have a PDF representation.
For the techies
Combine PDFs creates one single PDF from all the selected documents PDF representations. That is, if you select documents that do not have a PDF representation in Next®, they will not be included in the resulting PDF. Also PDFs protected by passwords will be ignored.
Combine PDFs comes in a variant where the end user is prompted for a filename. For some that makes sense, for others it just complicates matters.
The file name is by default made up from the Search form used, and the current date - 'Customer documents - 15 May 2020.pdf'
One-click Combine PDFs is a specific implementation of Batch jobs for everyone, and others will come.
Please refer to the online product guide for additional information on this feature, once it is released.
Commercial terms and conditions
This optional feature is available at an additional cost, to users with an active service plan. Any consultancy assistance will be invoiced.
