Easy manipulation of attached files in Next® - final round

In Next® each document can have one or more attachments to it.

  • A contract with its appendices
  • A sales invoice with the terms & conditions
  • A price list with the Excel™ sheets to make it
  • An architectural drawing with a number of documenting photos

Earlier this year we streamlined the way you work with these files and now we are taking the next step with the ability to perform these actions also from the tab view.

In the tap panels

You'll notice a new green "+".  Clicking that "+" is the same as clicking Attach. Or for that matter, dragging a document to Next®.

Click the Plus to attach a new file to your document

Once the document is attached you'll notice a 'v' indicating that a menu with options is available.

Tabs menu

From this Tabs menu, you can Edit, Share, Replace, or possibly delete this one file.

Chose what to do with this one file from your document

Being able to perform the actions from the Tab menu, makes it much faster and more intuitive to work with documents containing multiple files.

Saving you valuable time.

By the way - you can of course still perform the actions from the tool bar - and even from the Files panel if you wish to. But why would you?

Future enhancements

Currently we believe to have this covered, and have no enhancements planned.

For the techies

Some of the options suddenly become very visible. If you prefer to see fever options you can restrict the access to options with the new Feature management.
