Minor enhancements for the Next® admins and specialists, May 2021
It is no secret that the primary target of our enhancements are the business users, or end users, of Next®. Still, providing ease of use, and increased productivity to those who admin or configure Next® also make great sense.
For this release we have collected the following minor enhancements targeted the admins and specialists:
Enhancement | Issue |
---|---|
Reduced the time used to start up Next® |
NEXT-3932 |
Improved performance when processing PDFs |
NEXT-3912 |
Delegated permission are preserved |
NEXT-3870 |
When you delegate permissions (requires Next® Extended Permission Control), these permissions will stay in effect until they are explicitly revoked. A 'recalculation' of rules based permissions will not revoke delegated permissions. |
|
Adding documents from other systems using REST made easier | NEXT-3900 |
When you add documents to Next® using our REST add service, you no longer need to provide the content type. Next® will determine it from the file name. | |
Invoice preprocessing in the base archive | NEXT-3922 |
When you perform preprocessing of invoices in Next® you may choose to do so in the main archive. Unless you process invoices for companies having separate archives, this is the recommended setup. | |
For the techies
This is pretty much technical in it's nature.
