Chips make document lists easier to use

When the list of documents contains several different types of documents, one obvious way of reducing the list is to limit it to the few relevant types. If you are looking into a complete customer file, you may see 10 different document types. But if you are checking up on your invoicing, Sales Invoices, and Credit Notes would suffice.

Now Next® can show you what document types you have in your list - as individual chips - and with a single click select or de-select each type.

A list of 32 documents in 4 different types.

Let's click Sales invoice to limit the list.

With Sales Invoice selected, the list is much shorter.

Be aware, that if your list of documents contains more than 10 different types, then the chip design takes up too much space in the user interface. Next®, then  automatically makes it a drop down with multi-select. Not as fancy, but still smart.

With more than 10 document types, the UI is another.
