Document history views made simpler
When you work with business critical documents in Next®, it often comes in handy that you can see the history of each document - who did what, and when.
To make this even easier, we have cleaned up the user interface.
You now have - in the Activity tab - two options:
- Activities
- Views
Activity log
In the activity log, Next®, makes an entry whenever anyone does anything actively to the document. Creates it, modifies it, shares it, pin it, what ever. Every single action is logged.
Who did what - and when.
Might be relevant to know, that Benedict Wade downloaded this and 10 other invoices just before turning in her notice.
Views
If you have the optional Next® extended access logging, Next® makes an entry here, whenever anyone views the document. Either actively, as a preview, or even just in the list result from doing a search.
Who saw what - and when.
If Benedict has nothing to do with Sales on the West Coast, why is she then viewing all the contracts we have with customers there?
Future enhancements
No enhancement planned.
For the techies
History log - activities and views - can also be processed using our REST API.
Commercial terms and conditions
This feature is available for free to anyone with an active service plan. The Next® extended access logging, is an optional feature with a separate license fee.
Disclaimer
Despite our best efforts, we may be forced to change both content and expected delivery of future product updates without notice.
