Dynamic Permission Control gets support for accounting data
Enhancement for those who who process confidential invoices in Next®.
Next® comes with strong built-in permission control based of user groups (roles) and document types. For those in need of an even more fine grained permission control, we offer the optional Next® Dynamic Permission Control, that allows you to define permissions that depends on metadata from the documents.
People in SalesTeamWest may have access to all documents with Owned by: West, but not to those Owned by: East.
Now we extend the Next® Dynamic Permission Control with the capability to automatically set permission based on the accounting information provided for a purchase invoice processed in Next® invoices.
This will allow you to define Purchase Invoices with very restrictive permissions, and automatically provide access to the relevant people when invoices are allocated to their cost centers.
Future enhancements
In a future release, we plan to add a feature that allows you to control the granting of permissions needed to process a document.
Please see: Delegated permissions, for you who process sensitive documents.
This allows the initial processor of an invoice to grant a trusted person the right to see and process a specific invoice. This person may then explicitly grant permissions to the other people who needs access. Or simply allocate the accounts (cost centers) that using Dynamic Permission Process sets the needed access.
For the techies
Next® Dynamic permission control is today setup using XML. In the near future this will happen in Next® UI.
