Improved collaboration using Ask a Colleague
New productivity increasing functionality for those who use Ask a Colleague to involve others in the processing of their tasks in Next®.
When you are handling a task in your task list, and you need to reach out to one or more colleagues for help, you do so by clicking Ask a colleague. Then you select the colleague, and type in exactly what they can do for you.

The moment you do so, the task is put on hold in your task list - to stop it from bothering you unnecessarily - until your colleague has answered.
The task is automatically put on hold in the task list, and most often not shown at all
Typically, you will exclude tasks put on hold from your task list, focusing on the ones which are ready to process.

If you are juggling a whole lot of tasks and have dialogs with multiple colleagues - for example in Accounts Payable when you are closing the books for a month or a quarter, and you need all the purchase invoices booked - jumping into the Detailed View for these detail is simply to cumbersome.
That is why we now make the information on the most recent reply available directly in your task list.
Direct access to the most recent answers
If you choose to have the two new columns (who and when) visible in your task list, you can immediately see what has happened. You may even sort the list - to bring the most recent replies to the very top.

A new flyover text associated with the Comments icon, even lets you see the actual reply directly from the Task list.

Details on the suspension
Finally, as a last bit of productivity aid, we have added a flyover text to the On hold icon. Hover your pointer over the icon to see the details on the suspension - when and who.
The flyover text tells me that Alika Pate paused the invoice a moment ago because she's waiting for a delivery
This bucket of productivity enhancements will make the process of approving tasks with the help of others much more efficient. And save you valuable time.
For the techies
The two new columns - Most recent reply by and Most recent reply time - are added to the Task list view policy, but the end user needs to select them vir viewing.Additional information
