Next® gets support for business data in the cloud with OData v4

If you run Business Central, you will appreciate that Next® now connects seamlessly, and securely, to your business data over the web.

Business Central and SAP are two of the applications that support OData.

Any customers, suppliers, accounts, or products, you would access using SQL on premise, you can now access in the cloud using ODATA v4.

Out of the box. And for free.

Data access in the cloud using OData v4. Out of the box. And for free

This is a major element in our cloud first strategy for Next® Digital workplace.

Future enhancements

The Next® Integration Service is next on the list to become fully cloud native.

For the techies

The live data connection to Business Central is implemented using OData v4. We have little experience with the actual performance of  OData, and for that reason we have tagged the feature as technology preview.

Next® comes with built-in configurations ready for you to provide identification and authentication to your Business Central.

Commercial terms and conditions

This new feature - Business data in the cloud with OData v4 - is available at no additional cost to users with Next® and an active service plan.

Any consultancy required is invoiced separately.

Despite our best efforts, we may be forced to change both content and expected delivery of future product updates without notice.
