Tighter automatic permission control for Next® Invoices

Most purchase invoices do not contain confidential information and access to these is therefore often unrestricted or restricted only to one or more groups of people.

Some purchase invoices do however contain information that is not for everyone to see.

With Dynamic Permission Control in place, you can restrict access to any document - including purchase invoices -  in Next® based on metadata from the document. For example a division code.

Once the invoice is coded and allocated to specific GL account numbers, dimension values, fixed assets, items, or projects - even these data can be used to define access permissions.

This allows you to limit access to confidential invoices to the people who actually needs this access to perform their duties and no one else.

Future enhancements

In a future release of Next® the setup of Dynamic Permission Control is done in the normal Next® Admin UI.

For the techie ones

This release brings 4 new extractors - GL Accounts, Item Number, Asset ID, and Project ID.
